The family of Todd L. Goodling announces with great sadness his passing at Glens Falls Hospital on Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, after a valiant two-year battle against brain cancer.

Born Oct. 3, 1963, in York, Pa., he lived in the Easton area since age 7. He was a graduate of Greenwich Central High School, Class of 1982, had been a member of the FFA and was well-known in the dairy farm industry, as he spent many years during school working at local Easton farms.

Todd served in the U.S. Air Force from April 1988 until January 1990. He completed basic training at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois and then was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio as a weather equipment specialist.

He returned to Greenwich and resumed farming for a number of years, lastly working for Keith and Linda Germain of Bald Mountain Road. For the past 9-1/2 years, he has been employed with Peckham Materials, a job which he loved. He was always known for his hard work as well as his work ethic.

Todd was always doing his “projects” and was extremely proud of the home he and Cindy built in Easton, especially his workshop/garage which he built with the help of some of his very best friends. Everyone knew you could find him in his shop or out cutting wood for his woodstove.

He was also a fan of NASCAR racing, snowmobiling and working in his yard. Although he never had the chance to attend a race in person, he had traveled to Daytona to see the track and racing museum as well as take a tour of the Kennedy Space Center. Those closest to him knew he had a heart of gold and could be counted on to help his friends and family.

He was always willing to do whatever was needed and took great pride in doing everything to his best ability. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and co-workers.

He always believed in hard work and had never taken a vacation until November 2000 when he and Cindy went on a Caribbean cruise. Much to his surprise he realized that vacations were in fact, a good thing and each year looked forward to the next adventure.

Having taken trips to Aruba and Curacao and another cruise which took them from San Juan to Aruba, Curacao, St. Thomas, St. Marten and most recently, even though his health was declining, he and Cindy took one last cruise to Bermuda this past September.
