WATCH: Psycho maniac, Annabeth Barnes-Crum violently crashes into NASCAR driver Landon Huffman

Short-track race always calls for controlled, aggressive duels to win races. But when the aggression goes beyond the acceptable limit, the output is always concerning. The Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday witnessed such a duel between NASCAR Truck series driver Landon Huffman and local competitor Annabeth Barnes-Crum during a Twin Late Model Stock competition.

London Huffman, who won the limited open of the race, was fighting for second in the race with Barnes-Crum with just three laps left. The female driver was seen driving to the back of Hoffman’s full throttle under a yellow flag. Both drivers suffered severe damages that ended their races. Barnes-Crum ended up in the wall following the incident, while the rear of Huffman suffered big damage.

The crash was an after-effect of a few bumps that had occurred before it among the duo.  During the same lap, Huffman squeezed the Barnes-Crum to the wall to take the spot from her, and while trying to retaliate, she spun the car. The officials called a caution. Infuriated by the incident Barnes-Crum crashed into the NASCAR driver Zane Smith’s former spotter.

It took 30 minutes for the race to resume following the off-track drama between the spotters of the duo. Landon Huffman’s father, Robert Huffman, was jumped on by Annabeth Barnes-Crum’s husband, according to reports. The legendary short track driver was spotted bleeding after the incident at the spotter stands.

A furious Landon Hoffman attacked Annabeth Barnes-Crum on Twitter after the incident

Saying Hoffman was furious will be an understatement. The driver was disappointed to finish his promising day as such and never expected such action from someone whom he raced clan for 30 laps in an event the previous week. He shared a video of the incident on Twitter and pointed out that Barnes Crum’s actions were absurd.

“P3 in the first twin. Won the limited race. Full throttled by a psycho maniac under caution in twin #2 running 3rd. Put into fence on backstretch, so laid bumper in 3-4. She lost it trying to right-rear us, then destroyed our car. Dad got blindsided by her husband in spotters stand,” Hoffman Tweeted.

He later tweeted, alluding to a potential retaliation in the future. He wrote, “I own Annabeth Barnes Crum.  And after tonight, I may own her entire race team,”. He also shared the incident that prompted the whole drama.

Hoffman also gave an update on his father’s health, who according to him, was stomped by Annabeth’s husband. He wrote, “Dad is okay this morning. He has a broke nose and his eye is beat up. After he got blind sided, it knocked him to the ground and Crum started stomping him before Dad could get Jake down & in a head lock. Dad was talking to me on the radio and got clotheslined from behind,”,
