WWE NXT Results Coverage, Reactions and Highlights for February 6, 2024

It’s Tuesday night and you know what that means! WWE NXT will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the February 6, 2024 episode.

WWE NXT kicks off with Vic Joseph and Byron Saxton welcoming fans to the show as Carmelo Hayes makes his way down to the ring with a steel chair in hand. Hayes sets the steel chair up in the middle of the ring and sits on it as boos echoes from the crowd. Hayes then picks the chair back up and says not yet before saying that it’s not time yet, then he returns to the back.

We then get a video recap of what happened at Vengeance Day this past Sunday.

The Wolf Dogs (Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin) are then standing next to their Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Cup. Breakker tells Alicia Taylor to introduce them properly and she does so as The Wolf Dogs. Corbin then takes exception to Taylor calling them The Wolf Dogs, but says that won’t ruin their celebration. Corbin then says they dominated and no one in WWE can stop them. Corbin then asks Breakker how his face is after falling into the top rope on Sunday and Breakker says stuff goes wrong when you’re running at 23 miles an hour. Breakker tells Corbin he wouldn’t have made it over the top rope if he hadn’t given him a boost. Corbin and Breakker then call The Family out to the ring.

Nathan Frazer and Axiom are the ones who made their way out instead as they have a. match coming up next and Edris Enofe and Malik Blade make their way out as well for the first match of the evening, while The Wolf Dogs join the commentary position.

Tag Team Match: Nathan Frazer and Axiom vs. Edris Enofé and Malik Blade

The match begins with Enofe and Axiom and Enofe nails Axiom with a dropkick and a back elbow, but Axiom answers back with one of his own as well as a dropkick. Frazer then tags in and lands a kick, then delivers a tope suicida to Enofe on the outside, with Blade doing the same to Axiom on the other side. Blade then delivers a clothesline to Frazer back inside of the ring off the top.

Frazer and Axiom then double team Enofe and Axiom nails Enofe with a kick to his spine and a boot to his head and hits him with a German suplex. Frazer is now the legal man in the match and hits Enofe with a twisting neckbreaker, then follows it up with a double back elbow. Frazer then hits a standing moonsault on Enofe, then tags Axiom back in. Frazer then heads to the top, but Enofe knocks him down by crashing into the top rope and tags in Blade. Blade then hits Axiom with a clothesline and a dropkick to Frazer, but Frazer makes his way back up to the top. Frazer hits Blade with a crossbody, but Blade rolls through and delivers a Fallaway Slam.

Blade then hits Axiom with. a huge clothesline, then follows it up with a pair of powerbombs. Enofe then tags in and delivers an elbow drop off the top rope. Enofe looks for the win, but Frazer breaks up the pinfall attempt. Frazer then sends Blade crashing into the second turnbuckle, but Enofe nails him with a jumping knee and climbs back up to the top. Axiom then delivers an enzuigiri on Enofe, then tags Frazer back in. Axiom then hits a massive Spanish Fly on Enofe and Frazer follows it up with a Phoenix Splash. Axiom looks for the 1-2-3, but Blade breaks up the pinfall attempt.

Blade then makes his way to the top, but Frazer meets him there and hits him with a superplex, then transitions it into a Brainbuster as Axiom delivers a kick on Blade’s head. Frazer then climbs back up and looks for a Frog Splash, but Blade gets his knees up. Axiom looks for a Frog Splash as well, but Blade gets his boots up and nails him with a dropkick. Enofe then tags in and he and Blake double team Axiom. Blade and Enofe then make their way to the top, but Frazer pushes Blade off. Enofe then looks to land an elbow drop, but Axiom rolls out of the way. Frazer then tags back in and out once again to Axiom. Frazer hits a Phoenix Splash to Enofe and Axiom follows it up with the Golden Ratio for the 1-2-3.

After the match, Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin attack Frazer and Axiom. The Family then appears and The Wolf Dogs challenge Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo to an NXT Tag Team Championship match next week, which The Family accepts.

We then head backstage and see NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov arrive to the Performance Center. He says he is looking for Carmelo Hayes to get some answers out of him.

Dragunov then makes his way down to the ring and starts off by saying he went to war with Trick Williams this past Sunday. Dragunov also says not only does he respect Williams, but he likes him as well. Dragunov also says despite that, he couldn’t allow Williams to slay The Mad Dragon. Dragunov then says Williams gave him everything he had and if anyone were to beat him, Williams would be a worthy NXT Champion. The NXT Champion then calls Carmelo Hayes out and says Hayes has been accusing him of things he didn’t do over the past few months. The Mad Dragon then says everyone sees Hayes’ true colors now and the former NXT Champion couldn’t stand Williams reaching new heights in NXT. Dragunov then calls Hayes out to the ring and says Hayes is a traitorous son of a b****.

Hayes doesn’t show up, but Dijak does. Dijak asks Dragunov why he is obsessed with Hayes and Williams and says he saw what he did at Vengeance Day. Dijak then says he is willing to bet that Dragunov saw what he did to Joe Gacy at Vengeance Day and calls them both winners. Dragunov tells Dijak that tonight isn’t the night for him to do this and Dijak responds to Dragunov, telling him he must be feeling a little regular tonight standing in the ring with a broken nose. Dijak then says he learned what it means to break a man who thinks he is unbreakable by defeating Gacy, but Dragunov warns Dijak to step aside. The Mad Dragon then says Dijak will suffer like he never has before when their paths cross again. Dijak then attacks Dragunov, but Dragunov fights back. A brawl ensues and officials make their way down to separate the two men and hold them back.

We then head backstage, where Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne are celebrating the success of the Chase U calendar. Hail says she wants to watch Riley Osborne in his match that is coming up next, but Jayne tells her not to so that she will not come off as desperate.

We then see Von Wagner and Mr. Stone’s kid encourage Mr. Stone to compete in a tag team match against Meta-Four’s Noam Dar and Oro Mensah to seek retribution for Wagner losing his Heritage Cup Match against Dar and Mr. Stone agrees.

We then get the entrances for the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Lexis King vs. Chase U’s Riley Osborne

Osborne starts off strong with a right hand on King, but King lands a massive boot on Osbourne’s midsection and follows it up with a chop. Osborne then hits a few chops of his own and sends King crashing out of the ring, then flies over the top rope. Osbourne then gets King back in the ring, but King fights back and sends Osborne crashing down into the announce desk face first.

King then gets Osborne back inside the ring and hits him with a huge clothesline to the back of his head, but Osborne answers back with an uppercut and tries to go for the pin. King kicks out, but Osborne hits King with a bodyslam right away. Osborne climbs to the top rope, but King knocks him down with a kick to his midsection and The Coronation for the 1-2-3.

We then head backstage to the women’s locker room, where Izzi Dame tells Brinley Reece to give her the coffee she has in her hands. James then takes the coffee from Reece and throws it all away into a trash can.

Carmelo Hayes is back once again sitting on a steel chair in the middle of the ring. Fans chant “You’re not Him” at Hayes and Hayes says the villain is always the villain when the hero is telling the story. Hayes then questions why no one wants to hear his side of things, then says he isn’t jealous of Trick Williams’ success. Hayes then says he wanted Trick to achieve the highest of highs and make his parents proud and he had to be the one to take everything away from Williams to remind him of his place and show him what happens when you cross him. Hayes then says Williams crossed him first after they both had an agreement. Carmelo then says they agreed Williams would go after the North American Championship, while he went after the NXT Championship, but Williams started believing the people and his hype. Hayes then says Williams went behind his back and went after something that belonged to him and he knew what he had to do at that moment. Hayes then says he attacked Williams and would do it again.

Williams’ music hits, but he doesn’t show himself. Hayes begins laughing, making it clear that he is behind the whole thing. Hayes then says Williams isn’t coming back and no one should be surprised. Hayes then reminds everyone that he’s a two time North American Champion, while Williams is a two day North American Champion. Hayes also says nothing gets on NXT without being run by him. Hayes then says Williams wanted to be like him so bad that he started copying his appearance and behavior. Hayes also says it was never a collaboration between them as Williams was his hype man. Hayes then says that’s all it is and all it will ever be.

We then get a cryptic video similar to what we got at Vengeance Day on Sunday, but this time the message was, “Man has three faces – one the world sees, one his family sees, and the real one no one sees but reflects the evil he truly possesses.”

We then get the entrances for the next match, which is another Singles Match.

Singles Match: Roxanne Perez vs. Lola Vice

The match starts off with Perez hitting a Thesz Press on Vice. Perez then delivers multiple right hands on Vice, but Vice rolls out of the ring. Perez then flies over the top rope and sends Vice crashing into the ring apron face first. Perez then climbs to the top rope once and hits a crossbody on Vice followed by multiple right hands. Vice then answers back with speed kicks and a Hip Attack, then follows it up with a modified scissor kick. Perez then hits Vice with an uppercut and a shoulder tackle, then nails her with a second uppercut and more right hands. Vice then lands a kick on Perez’s midsection, but Perez responds with a kick across Vice’s face. Vice then sends Perez to the outside.

Vice then nails Perez with a pair of knees on her midsection, but Perez goes for a pin on Vice, which Vice kicks out of. Perez then delivers a dropkick to Vice as well as an uppercut, then nails her with a Side Russian Leg Sweep and a springboard moonsault. Perez goes for a Crossface on Vice, but Vice counters the move into a pinfall. Perez kicks out of the attempted pinfall and delivers another uppercut on Vice. Perez attempts another uppercut, but Vice counters and locks Perez in a Sleeper. Perez then manages to stand up and breaks the hold by sending Vice crashing into the turnbuckles. Perez then looks to hit her Pop Rox finisher, but Vice counters it and delivers a back elbow. Tatum Paxley then makes her way down to the ring with Vice’s Women’s Breakout Tournament contract in hand. Vice nails Paxley with a huge kick to her head, but Perez takes advantage and hits her Pop Rox finisher on Vice to secure the win.

We then get the entrances for the next match, which is a Tag Team Match.

The match begins with Legend and Henley and Henley jumps on top of Legend before Sinclair makes the blind tag and Legend gets Henley off her back. Sinclair then goes for a crossbody off the top rope, but Henley dropkicks Legend and Sinclair falls into a pinning predicament. Legend kicks out of the pinfall attempt and sends Sinclair into the corner. Jackson then tags herself into the match and hits a back elbow on Sinclair as well as dueling right and left hands on Sinclair’s midsection. Jackson then sends Sinclair bouncing off the mat head first and takes a cheap shot on Henley.

Legend then tags back in and hits a forearm on Sinclair. Jackson and Legend double team Sinclair before Legend nails her with a standing splash. Jackson then tags back in and hits Sinclair with a pair of boots. Legend then tags back in and does the same, then Jackson tags back in and delivers more boots. Jackson goes for a shoulder submission and Sinclair is able to escape and tags in Henley.

Henley then hits an uppercut on Jackson and nails her with a right hand. Henley follows that up with a Sling Blade. Legend then tries to pull Jackson out of the ring, but Henley stops Legend from doing so. Legend overpowers Henley and sends her into the middle rope. Legend then hits a powerbomb on Sinclair to score the pinfall victory.

We then head backstage, where Brooks Jensen approaches Josh Briggs. Jensen tells Briggs that he is lost without him and Fallon Henley. Briggs tells Jensen that he is not a kid anymore, then shoves him and tells him to stand on his two feet. Brooks also tells Jensen he can either sit around crying or gain some courage.

We then head to NXT General Manager Ava’s office, where Jaida Parker request a Singles Match against Adriana Rizzo for next week’s show. Ava agrees, but bans all the remaining members of O.T.M. and The Family from ringside. Ridge Holland then enters and asks Ava to face all three members of Gallus at once. Ava agrees to give Holland one member at a time, but should he lose to any of them, then he can’t go on to face the next member. Ridge Holland accepts.

We then get the entrances for the main event, which is NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov vs. Dijak.

Non-Title Match: NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov vs. Dijak

The match begins as physical as any Dragunov match begins with the two not wasting any time delivering strikes on one another. Dragunov hits Dijak with a German suplex, but Dijak sends him into the top turnbuckle face first and jams his face into it. Dijak looks to do it for a second time, but Dragunov thwarts Dijak’s attempt and hits him with chops. Dragunov then sends Dijak crashing into the mat, then makes his way to the top. Dijak then trips Ilja and nails him with a boot, sending Dragunov tumbling out of the ring. Dijak then hits Ilja with a right hand to his spine and Dijak gets Dragunov back inside the ring and follows him after taking a look under the ring. Dragunov then delivers an open palm strike on Dijak, but Dijak nails him.

Dijak then sends Dragunov into the mat face first. Dijak then gets Ilja up on his shoulders and goes for his Feast Your Eyes finisher, but Dragunov stops Dijak and nails him with a boot. Dijak responds with a kick of his own before Dragunov hits Dijak with a jumping kick. Dijak answers back with a boot and Dragunov hits Dijak with an enzuigiri and gets Dijak up on his shoulders, only for Dijak to rake his eyes. Dragunov still manages to hit Dijak with a Death Valley Driver into the corner and climbs to the top. Ilja then hits a senton on Dijak and nails him with several rapid fire chops. Dijak then delivers a sit-out chokeslam on Ilja and goes for a pin, but Dragunov kicks out.

Dijak goes for a second chokeslam, but Dragunov fights his way out with a headbutt and tries to hit a Constantine Special. Dijak nails Ilja with a clothesline and follows it up with an elbow drop off the top rope. Dragunov then delivers a knee and Gacy slides out from under the ring and hits Dijak with a joke boxing glove. Dragunov then hits his H Bomb finisher on Dijak to score thee 1-2-3.

After the match, Hayes appears out of nowhere and hits Dragunov with a chop block. Hayes drops right hands on Ilja and grabs the NXT Championship, then nails Ilja with it. Hayes then holds the title above his head as the show comes to a close.
